Wood, a living material
Wood thrives with a suitable technique, very different from that used for tiles or concrete. A gentle clean along the grain revives its natural colour and preserves its beauty over time — whereas a hired machine calls for far more caution.
How we protect your boards
Wood needs a delicate touch. We clean it gently, along the boards, to revive its natural sheen while preserving its fibres. The right distance and the right pressure make all the difference for a crisp result and wood that stays sound.
Our approach for wood
We work at low pressure (a wide, diffuse jet), at a good distance and along the boards, sometimes brushing the softest woods or older decks. This technique suits:
- natural wood (treated pine, larch);
- hardwoods (ipe, teak, cumaru);
- composite, tougher but sensitive to powerful jets.

Greying removal and protection
After cleaning, the wood may need a wood brightener to regain its natural colour, then an oil or wood saturator (once the surface is fully dry) to nourish it and protect it from UV and moisture. We advise you on the right maintenance for your type of wood.

Frequently asked questions
Yes, but with great care: low pressure, a diffuse jet, a distance of 30 to 50 cm and working along the boards. Too strong a jet splits the fibres. For fragile wood, brushing or a professional is safer.
Yes, it is recommended once the wood is dry: an oil or wood saturator revives the colour and protects against UV and moisture, extending the life of the boards. An annual application is part of good maintenance.
A wood brightener applied after cleaning brings back the wood's original colour. We finish with a protective oil to lock in the result. We adapt the products to your type of wood (pine, ipe, composite…).
